Weight Loss & Management Program Overview
The majority of health benefits can be realized by losing

Fresh Vitality’s Weight Management Program provides you with
the support, structure and strategies you need so you can lose
the weight you need to, efficiently and sensibly.
Your program involves a combination of nutrition education,
fitness education, and appetite suppressants in a physician-supervised program that is individually customized for each
client’s needs and goals. Our program is designed to help you
reach your goal weight at your pace and is nutritionally
designed to develop proper eating habits for long term
success.
All patients start with their Initial Visit which is
detailed below. You will then visit us weekly for a Weekly
Check-In for progress monitoring and counseling. Our
program is a 3 Phased Program which is designed to burn
fat, lose inches and help you develop long term nutritional
modifications changes. We have provided additional information
below.
Initial Visit
This is an important day for you. It marks your first step
toward a healthier, more confident and slimmer you. This visit
gives our physician and medical team the opportunity to create
your personalized weight management program and establish a
working relationship of support and follow through.
Our team will spend approximately 1 hour with you on this
visit. You will come prepared to start your Weight Management
Program by fasting for 8 hours prior to your appointment. Dr.
Ariss will meet with you personally and review your medical
history, your allergies, and any medications that you are
currently taking. He will evaluate and discuss your need for
appetite suppressants. During this visit, you will receive:
- Physical Exam by Dr. Ariss
- Medical History Reviewed by Dr. Ariss
- Comprehensive Blood Panel / Tests (Complete Blood Count,
Fasting Glucose, Electrolytes, Kidney Function, Liver
Function, Thyroid Screening, Cholesterol and Lipid Profile)
- EKG & Interpretation by Dr. Ariss
- Vital Signs
- Body Composition Analysis
- Body Measurements
- 1st Week Appetite Suppressants (as medically
appropriate)
- B12/MIC Injection (Amino Acid, Vitamin & Mineral
Supplements)
- Physician Consultation (including nutritional
counseling)

Weekly Check-Ins
You are accountable for your own weight loss. Your weekly
check-in reinforces this accountability and helps us monitor
your progress. In addition the check-in will include:
- Vital Signs
- Body Composition Analysis
- Medication Refill - Appetite Suppressants for one week
(as medically appropriate)
- B12/MIC Injection (Amino Acid, Vitamin & Mineral
Supplements)
- Consultation: Review Progress and Discuss Goals
- Plan modification by physician, if needed
* Duration of the program is based upon your goal weight
* You are not required to purchase pre-made meals
* Recommended supplements may be purchased through Fresh
Vitality or any retailer offering them
Three Phases to Weight Management
Phase 1 is
designed to reach and maintain a higher level of ketosis. This
phase can last anywhere from 1-4 weeks depending on your
comfort level. Dr. Ariss will provide direction on how this
can be safely achieved. Appetite suppressants are prescribed
for those patients that qualify and are in need of appetite
control. During this phase, rapid weight loss is typically
achieved.
Additionally, we provide counseling on medications and
supplements that can aid in carbohydrate cravings which some
of us develop, especially at night. Dr. Ariss will discuss with
you which medications or supplements you can take to help
control these cravings. During Phase 1, you will not be
expected to exercise since your calorie and carbohydrate
intakes are minimized.
Phase 2 is designed to maintain a moderate level of
ketosis. The weight loss during Phase 2 is not as drastic as
Phase 1. You do increase the amount of calorie and
carbohydrate intake during this phase.
This phase continues until you reach your goal weight. During
Phase 2 and Phase 3, we recommend that you incorporate
exercise into your daily routine. You can intermittently go back
to Phase 1 for those who want to accelerate the degree of
weight loss.
Phase 3 is known as the Maintenance phase. This phase
begins the moment you reach your goal weight. We all know how
difficult it can be to maintain our goal weight. We will give
you the tools to successfully maintain this goal weight. We
have a large selection of nutritional supplements and dietary
aids which can help you control your calorie and carbohydrate
intake. As an added benefit, Dr. Ariss is specially trained
in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy and can optimize
hormone imbalances or deficiencies, which may play a role in
the inability for a patient to manage or control their weight
